The chambered nautilus by Oliver Holmes
In this poem, the animal is venturing into a new chamber, each one larger than the last.
If I will based it in my own life, just like the animal, I need to move and grow.If I will just stay in my chamber, nothing will happen to me. I need to explore the world and face all the complexities of life. In order to nurture my abilities, I need to find the chamber that I'm fit in, and when I die, I will just leave my shell just like the nautilus.
The Paradise Lost by John Milton
Since the very beginning, the battle between good and evil already existed. We cannot go with the evils because we are not contented of what we have and who we are. Just like Satan who wants to overpower God, he made attempts to defeat God. In the end, the good still conquers the evil. We all know that temptations are everywhere. They will not stop in poisoning our minds.Devils will not stop unless they could revenge from the defeat in the battle they waged against God. We are tested by our faith. The only way to be saved is to believe in Him.
I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth
The poem is telling me that living in simplicity can give us true happiness. What we need to do is to appreciate the things that God has created for us. We are now living in a fast changing world and sometimes we forgot to see the beauty of nature. The daffodils in the poem is just a representation of so many beautiful things in the world. Be happy and contented!
Sila's Marner by George Eliot
Life is full of obstacles. It may lead us to become a better person or worst. Marner is just a reminder that whatever happens, we need to be firm. Sometimes, we are betrayed by the persons we trusted most and leaving us in pain. They may even gives us unbearable pain that we think of giving up. but we all know that there is always sunshine after the rain. Today, if we feel trash, for sure tomorrow we will be happy. just like Silas marner who continued to live. Always look at the brighter side of everything.
